At the top end of A-Level Maths, the issue is rarely basic syllabus coverage. Students aiming for an A* usually know most of the course already. The gap is more often in precision: dropped negatives, incomplete working, weak interpretation in mechanics or statistics, or a habit of moving too quickly through multi-step questions. That is why top-grade revision has to be tighter, not just longer.
A strong A* revision plan therefore focuses on method reliability, hard-topic fluency, and paper craft. You want enough repetition that the toughest processes still feel controlled under time pressure. The best revision is usually short, specific, and honest about where marks are still leaking.
