It uses simple signals like money pressure, structure, learning style, responsibility, and lifestyle fit to show which route deserves more research. It does not replace official employer, UCAS, police, or armed-forces guidance, and it does not claim that any role is currently open unless the logged-in tracker has synced it from an official source.

The production model can use official and open-data signals: academic data from Discover Uni and NSS, local rent pressure from ONS, and amenity density from OpenStreetMap. These are proxies, so the UI labels them as model inputs rather than student sentiment.

OSM count of pubs/bars/nightclubs/music venues near campus, student union event venue presence

Venue density is a proxy for options, not a claim that students enjoy the nightlife.

Affordability score

ONS rent by local authority, transport zone/city flag, campus distance from city centre

Use as cost pressure, not a complete student budget.

Academic intensity score

Discover Uni/NSS teaching, assessment, support and organisation signals, continuation signals where available

Intensity is inferred from official metrics and should be labelled as modelled.
